Tory Nixon, class of 1980
Tory Nixon was a defensive back for the San Francisco 49ers from 1985 to 1989. During his tenure with the 49ers, he was a member of the Super Bowl XXIII World Championship team. In college, Nixon was a member of the Aztec Football team at San Diego State University. In 1984 he was team captain, Scholar Athlete of the Year, and Most Valuable Player. Nixon currently serves as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for the San Diego International Sports Council, an organization promoting economic development through sports.
