Bret Jayson Hock, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 30, 2007. A native Phoenician, Bret was born on April 25, 1972. He graduated from Shadow Mountain High School. After serving in the Marines he attended ASU where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Sociology and Family Studies . He was currently working on his Masters in Forensic Psychology. He was employed with The Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Division, as a Probation Officer. Survivors include his father, Jere; mother, Betsy and brother, Brian. A memorial service will be held at 10AM, Monday, May 7, 2007, Scottsdale Bible Church Chapel, 7901 E. Shea Blvd. Scottsdale, 85260. Joseph Anton Bolda, Jr., 45, born February 23, 1962 in Harvey, Illinois,passed away July 9, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Cory, son Sam and daughter Addy, his parents Joe Sr. and Leona, sisters Debbie Cummins, Christi Roberts, and brother Tom Bolda. He moved to Arizona in 1973. He attended Shadow Mountain high school and graduated in 1980. He attended NAU and studied Forestry. He had a passion for nature and the outdoors as well as snow skiing. He loved the Arizona desert, and knew every plant and creature in it. He hiked it, climbed it and explored it. His lifelong career in the wine business began at the Arizona Biltmore, leaving as the Wine Cellar Master in 1996. He traveled extensively in the California wine country as well as Washington State, Oregon, Chili, and Argentina. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 13th at Shadow Mountain Mortuary. 2350 E. Greenway Rd.
Eric Joseph Vogeding, 42, of Phoenix passed away on June 3, 2007. Eric, a PE teacher, varsity softball and freshman football coach at SMHS is survived by his wife Teri, son EJ, and daughter Cierra. A memorial service will be held at Shadow Mountain High School, Thursday, June 7th at 6PM.
Birth: Nov. 27, 1982 Death: Sep. 22, 2007 Lisa Audray Barker passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007. She was born November 27, 1982 in Phoenix and was loved and adored by many thousands/millions of close family and friends. Lisa had an enthusiasm for life that was contagious and felt by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving sister Laura, mother Linda, father Cloise, grandparents Papa Ray and Grandma Jacquie Lorenz and Grandma Martha Jane Barker; Aunt Lorna, Uncle Dale, Cousins Lauren and Kelly Bleck, half-sister Shannon, and her faithful bulldog, Tank. She attended ALC, Shadow Mountain High, Shea Middle and Desert Cove E.S. Lisa touched the lives of many special needs children and devoted several years working with them. She spent many years involved in 4-H training dogs and was a free spirit who loved music, enjoyed drawing, darts, playing pool, working on her laptop and 99 bananas. A Memorial service will be held Friday, September 28, 2007, at 4 PM at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale. Dick Dean Dutton, 78, of Phoenix, went to be with our Lord on December 9, 2007, surrounded by his family at home after a long battle with lung cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, mentor, veteran and sometimes Santa Claus. Dick was born October 19, 1929 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Leonella and Wilbur Dutton. Dick earned his Bachelors Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, a Masters Degree at the University of Nebraska, and second masters at University of South Dakota in Chemistry in pursuit of teaching. He was called up to serve his country in the Korean War before moving to Arizona to raise his family in 1957. He started his teaching career at Agua Fria High School and retired from Shadow Mountain High School, Paradise Valley School District in 1993. Dick is preceded in death by his parents and his second son, Darrel Dutton. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Wilma; four children - Don Dutton and wife Merla, David Dutton and wife Kristine, Dana Dutton and wife Marla, Michelle Cash and husband Brian; grandchildren Michelle, Edward, Melissa, Jason, Kelsey, Lee, Christopher, Nichole, Chandler, Briana, Miche, and Jessie; great grandson Dylan; and brother Brock Dutton and sister Barbara Chapman. Services will be held December 12, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Desert Foothills United Methodist Church, 2156 E. Liberty Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85048. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York City, New York 10006 are welcome. Arrangements entrusted to Green Acres Mortuary, Scottsdale.
